    Semester Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Laboratory Hours: 1
    This combined three hour lecture/one hour arranged lab course prepares students for INRW 0399  and other reading and writing intensive courses. Topics include active reading strategies of a variety of texts, and sentence, paragraph, and essay writing. This course offers an integrated approach to reading and writing skills acquisition. This course carries institutional credit but will not transfer and may not be used to meet degree requirements.
    Required Prerequisite(s): RDNG 0090  or ENGL 0090  successful completion of 70% or higher and 9th grade reading and writing level on final course assessment, or equivalent scores on an approved placement test.

    Semester Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Laboratory Hours: 1
    A combined three-hour lecture/one-hour lab performance based course designed to develop students’ critical reading and academic writing skills. If successfully completed, the course fulfills TSI requirements for reading and writing. This is a developmental course and cannot be used to fulfill degree requirements.
    Required Prerequisite(s): INRW 0395  with a minimum grade of “C” (70%), or equivalent scores on an approved placement test

    Instruction and participation in physical and recreational activities. Improves awareness skills and develops self-defense techniques against various attacks including: chokes, head locks, grabs, ground fighting and ground defense techniques, frontal and rear attacks, attacks from multiple opponents, weapons and weapon disarmament. (Course is coeducational)
