EDTC 1070 - The Science of Teaching Reading

A course in the science of reading and integrating reading instruction into elementary school. Strategies are provided to incorporate vocabulary development, comprehension, and fluency into daily content area instruction. Instruction will focus on strategies for preparing all students for college and career in the literacy of speaking, listening, reading, and writing in all content areas and meeting the needs of struggling reading, English language learners, gifted learners, and diverse populations.
