- Graduates will demonstrate effective written and oral communication and synthesis of credible sources with proper attribution through the creation of a capstone project.
- Graduates will analyze the nature, extent, causation, and prevention of crime as indicated by the major criminological theories.
- Graduates will evaluate the relationship between police practice and the U.S. Constitution and demonstrate their understanding of Fourth Amendment principles related to search, seizure, and arrest.
- Graduates will apply the principles of substantive, procedural, and evidentiary criminal laws that guide the criminal justice system and its members.
- Graduates will analyze the role of diversity, culture, and social power in the shaping of the modern, American corrections system.
