VNSG 1304 - Foundations of Nursing Semester Hours: 3 | Lecture Hours: 2 | Laboratory Hours: 3 Introduction to the nursing profession including history, standards of practice, legal and ethical issues, and role of the vocational nurse. Topics include mental health, therapeutic communication, cultural and spiritual diversity, patient preference, nursing process using clinical judgement model, and holistic awareness.
