Students enrolled in the program must undergo and receive a clear criminal background check and negative substance abuse screening. In addition, students are required to meet physical requirements and Dietetics Program immunization requirements, proof of CPR for healthcare provider and ServSafe Manager Certification, and valid Texas driver’s license prior to starting practicum rotation.
Application is NOT required for this certificate.
Completion of this certificate does not guarantee acceptance into the Dietetic Technician Program. Certificate completers are NOT eligible to sit for the national DTR Credentialing examination.
Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Requirement for Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs
