1. Graduates will demonstrate a knowledge of head and neck anatomy, tooth morphology, and tooth numbering/identification systems by identifying structures and teeth on models, radiographs, and clinical charts.
2. Graduates will perform patient reception, dental business office procedures, and demonstrate effective professional communication skills with patients and the dental team.
3. Graduates will perform chairside dental procedures and prepare dental materials for general and specialized dentistry while adhering to infection control protocols.
4. Graduates will expose and mount digital diagnostic radiographic images while adhering to patient and operator infection control and safety protocols.
5. Graduates will apply core dental assisting competencies to meet the standards required by the TSBDE Registered Dental Assistant Certification Examination.
