Basic American Sign Language Acquisition

1. Graduates will demonstrate understanding and comprehension of ASL by recognizing fingerspelling names, places, and numbers 1-1,000 and money.

2. Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of Deaf Culture by knowing about important Deaf leaders and Gallaudet University significance.

3. Graduates will demonstrate understanding and comprehension of ASL by understanding/discussing role shifting.

4. Graduates will demonstrate understanding and comprehension of ASL by understanding/discussing plans, opinions, and feelings.

5. Graduates will demonstrate understanding and comprehension of ASL by understanding/discussing descriptive, instrumental, and locative classifiers as well as perspectives.
